About Us
Welcome to Capshul An app designed off the realisation that at some point in time we are all going to have to rely on others to tell our story. We are going to have to pass on the responsibility of planning our funerals or celebration of life events, and those reponsible will be carrying a large amount of grief during this time. Capshul is here to help you capture your life story, your amazing photo memories, stories told directly by yourself - how you lived and remember them.
Our Journey
At Capshul founder, Nicole Taylor, started building this idea many years ago at her grandfathers funeral. Listening to her father read Bernie's eulogy it surprised Nicole to learn he hadn't always been the policeman she knew him as, he had infact also been a millinar in his early years. Pondering what other interesting facts she wasn't aware of, Nicole began visualising an app where people could curate their life story.
An edited version for loved ones to enjoy looking over, for those responsible to have all of the best photo's, songs and special instructions in one place making it easier to not only prepare to say farewell but to re-visit time and time again.
Our Vision
At Capshul our vision is clear. Create an easy to use app, with limits on the amount of things you can add so you end up with a fun and memorable experience, not only for yourself to look back on fondly, but also for loved ones you choose to invite in to your Capshul. We want your life story to be told the right way, by you.
Within your Capshul you will be able to store personal song choices, where you and your loved ones will be able to listen to them any time you wish. You will store those all important instructions, and securely save vital documents where they will be kept for those who need them most.
With Capshul, the most precious information of your family tree - the life of YOU, is held safely within a time capsule that friends and family can visit for generations to come.
